To infinity and beyond!

Learn the basic and advanced principles of 2D and 3D animation using Blender. You will work on projects that simulate professional shots. In addition, you will explore all the disciplines of a studio (character design, modeling, texturing, storyboard, layout, and lighting) to boost your professional profile.

Course Syllabus

01

Biomechanics and Fundamentals (2D/3D)

The essential starting point. You will understand the physics of movement so that your characters stop looking like dolls and acquire real weight, balance, and organic fluidity within Blender.

  • Mastery of the 12 Classic Principles in 2D and 3D environments
  • Physics of trajectories: Bouncing Balls & Pendulums
  • Advanced construction of walk and run cycles
  • Dynamic poses of strength, weight, and line of action
02

Advanced Acting and Pantomime

Transcend technical movement and become an actor through your character. You will learn to convey emotional and mental states without the need to use dialogue.

  • Construction of the character's subtext and thought
  • Mastery of timing for comedic and dramatic situations
  • Realistic physical interaction with props and the environment
  • Recording and exhaustive analysis of video references
03

Facial and Lip-Sync

The pinnacle of digital acting. You will master lip-syncing and the subtle movement of facial muscles to create characters that truly feel alive.

  • Lip-syncing using phonemes and shapes in Blender
  • Study of facial muscular anatomy and its deformations
  • Psychology of the eyes, blinks, and gaze direction
  • Final polishing of micro-expressions for professional shots
04

Pre-production and Narrative

Discover what happens before animation. You will learn to visually plan the story and technically prepare the shots for production.

  • Fundamentals of Character Design and silhouettes
  • Storyboard creation and script-to-image translation
  • Layout: Stage setup and camera framing
  • Technical organization and work pipeline preparation
05

Finishing and LookDev

Complete your artistic vision by understanding the final phases of a studio. You can discover if your true calling hides in lighting, texturing, or giving volume to models.

  • 3D Modeling techniques for characters and assets
  • UV Mapping and Surface Texturing
  • Light Theory and advanced scene lighting
  • Render configuration and final visual finish
